[ge-talk] Files as Messages

My dream was actually to better have a "live" DB of serializable objects
(maybe in some scripting language?). Basically, something like a
Smalltalk or Lisp image instead of "dead" partitions. Files would become
objects with methods and slots (instead of attributes). For example,
Person objects would be able to understand what an email-address or
phone number is (again, other object types) and export special functions
like input validation, calculated/virtual attributes, or "Call Person",
etc.. Tracker would become an interactive object browser instead of a
simple folder browser.

Buzz words...but you wanted to discuss something...

Bye,
Waldemar
