[ge-talk] 'expiration' attribute

Hi everyone,

I just had an idea, I'm not sure if it's been brought up before (sorry if so)--it would be really great if one could define an expiry date (or a relative expiry date, e.g., "seven years after last modification") for files and folders, to make it easier to clean up/review/throw out one's files. To some this may fly in the face of the philosophies that have been on this list, similar to Google's "keep it all forever and make search work really well." But for instance, some business files are only needed so long, and then you'd rather not have them take up resources. Another example could be temporary project files, or proposals that get dropped or go stale.

What do you think?

Kev
