Most of my performance evaluations were made with more complex
constraint sets, and as I said, I did not put much emphasis on
optimization. The findings of others give me confidence that it is
possible to get an adequate real-time response. Most applications have a
relatively simple layout, and most of the work can be done during
program initialization. Additional testing would be required to find out
more.
Leaving aside performance considerations, I look at it more from a GUI
developer's point of view: IMO it seems as if complex layouts can be
specified in a relatively concise way. This is what intrigues me.
Btw my last mail has a typo: the grid in the example has 2 columns and
_3_ rows.
