hmm http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=338279
just in the news. sounds different than BeOS PE
I sure wish i had something like that when i installed kubuntu
I think the trick isn't just to build the installer but to make sure
'idiots' like me don't screw it up. for example, when i installed
kubuntu, the installer hanged. it then occurred to me that maybe it
was because I didn't defrag first? ok that worked. but then i wanted
to make a 45 gig partition for windows and 25 gig for linux. turned
out it made 25 gig for windows and 45 for linux! there was no clear
indication at the time of install!
then i wanted to uninstall linux. so i went into windows disk
management and erased the partition. when i rebooted, grub encountered
an error and didn't let me boot.
The other thing when you install an OS is that you want to feel at
home right away. for example perhaps all your email settings and
bookmarks from windows could be installed
