What happens when I want to install the tool `rename`? ;-)

I would think symlinks would be the safest bet *if* you go down that
road, so people used to the commands having them to hand, and newbies
finding what suits them best.

Although it's probably a bad idea, someone relying on the naturalised
version (writing portable scripts/installers. ) fairly rare though.
